Functional Fitness

Stay Strong Stay Steady
Led by kinesiologist Nicole Andersen-Fair, our six-week Stay Strong Stay Steady program empowers older adults with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent falls and improve balance, strength, and overall mobility. The series starts on Thursday, May 1 at 1:00pm. Learn more.

Fit for Two
Led by kinesiologist Nicole Andersen-Fair, our Fit for Two prenatal series combines mobility, gentle strengthening exercises, and core stability to help expectant mothers feel their best while preparing for labour and recovery. The program starts on Thursday, May 22. Learn more.

Strength and Cardio

Learn to Play Pickleball Pop-ups
We’re hosting Learn to Play Pickleball sessions, with the first two being scheduled for Sunday, May 4, from 10:00am to 12:00pm and Wednesday, May 7, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. These sessions are free for our fitness centre and pickleball members. Guests are welcome to join us for the pickleball drop-in rate of $15.

Baby Bootcamp: Strength Training for Moms
Led by Kerry McCormick, the eight-week series prioritizes building muscle, improving endurance, and enhancing overall fitness levels. The program offers a unique opportunity for new moms to focus on their health and well-being while bonding with their little ones in a supportive and motivating environment. The program begins on Wednesday, May 7 at 2:00pm. Learn more.

Spin Under the Stars
Spin Under The Stars — a fundraiser for the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation — returns on Thursday, May 8. Join Steve W., Heather, and Diane for a two-hour outdoor evening spin session starting at 6:30pm. Learn more.

Yoga

Aerial Yoga Workshops
Led by Stefanie Campbell, aerial yoga is a great way to diversify your workouts and try something new. No aerial yoga or yoga experience is necessary for this workshop — all levels of yoga practice are welcome. Stefanie leads the next aerial yoga workshop on Sunday, May 4 at 12:00pm. Learn more.

Youth

Fit Club for Girls
Designed for ages 9 to 12 and led by Kerry McCormick, this interactive program combines games and active play with conversations about general health, nutrition, mind/body awareness, and body image. The program begins on Thursday, May 8 at 6:30pm. Learn more.

Teen Thrive: Fitness & Self-Discovery
Led by Kerry McCormick, Teen Thrive is a transformative eight-week program designed to empower teenage girls by combining fitness with essential life skills and personal growth. The program begins on Wednesday, May 14 at 5:00pm. Learn more.

EmpowerHER
EmpowerHER workshops were created for girls ages 9 to 12 to provide valuable tools for developing social skills, self-acceptance, and emotional well-being. Youth-oriented groups such as Girl Guides, sports teams, after-school programs, dance programs may choose one of the workshops to be delivered at no cost. Learn more.

 

Pop-up classes are included in every membership. Guests are welcome to join us for the drop-in rate. Members receive a 10% discount on all workshops and programs.
