Established in 2013, our scholarship fund extends financial assistance to four students graduating from one of our local high schools. This program awards successful applicants a $1000 scholarship toward the cost of their education. To date, $37,000 in scholarships have been presented.
“As part of this community, we’ve had the privilege of seeing so many young people grow, work hard, and prepare for what comes next. With rising tuition and changes to student funding, we know that transition can feel uncertain,” said Heritage Community Fitness owner Kevin Price. “This scholarship is our way of giving back—supporting students as they take their next step, whether that’s post-secondary education or a purposeful gap year.”
Our scholarship program is open to students graduating from our community high schools: Almonte District High School, Carleton Place High School, and Notre Dame Catholic High School. A $1000 scholarship will be awarded to one student from each of the three schools. A scholarship will also be awarded to a local student taking a gap year before continuing their education. To be eligible for one of the four available scholarships, students must:
- submit the scholarship application along with completed essay questions
- graduate from high school in the year of the scholarship application
- be enrolled in a post-secondary education program in any area of study beginning in September of the application year, or be taking a gap year before pursuing their post-secondary education
Students do not need to be members of our fitness centre or clients of our Collaborative Care Centre to apply. Applications are available through the schools’ Guidance departments. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 15, 2026.
