Squat Clinic

Many issues with feet, knees, and lower back can be attributed to tight tissues, poor mobility, and/or poor squat mechanics. Led by personal trainer Rick Boisvert, the 90-minute Squat Clinic workshop is designed to unlock better movement and improve your squat technique, no matter your current capacity.

The clinic will kick off with a full-body warm-up, followed by targeted mobility exercises for the lower body. You’ll also learn techniques for performing soft tissue work on the feet, legs, and glutes to release stiffness and enhance mobility before training. This will be followed by delving into the mechanics of a squat in various forms. The use of various tools (dumbbells, kettlebells, and barbells), loading protocols, and methods for strength progressions will be discussed.

The clinic concludes with flexibility exercises for the lower body, designed to lengthen and strengthen the key tissues for improved performance and recovery.

Squat Clinic takes place on Saturday, February 1 from 10:30am to 12:00pm. The cost of the workshop is $35. Members receive a 10% discount.

Register in person at Heritage Fitness, by phone, with our mobile app (available for iOS and Android), and online.
