Lina is a bilingual clinical social worker with extensive training and over 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Ottawa. Lina’s clinical interests include but are not limited to, working with persons affected by crisis and trauma, Operational Stress Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, loss/bereavement, dissociation, anxiety, adjustment disorders, self-esteem and generalized lifestyle coaching for adaptation and reintegration, attachment, and couple’s counselling. Lina’s approach: Lina provides compassionate and evidence-based therapy that includes the use of emotionally focused therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) solution-focussed brief therapy (SFBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), interpersonal psychotherapy, mindfulness therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and other approaches.
Lina offers virtual and in-person appointments to new and existing clients. To start, both new and existing clients need to create a client profile on the client portal. Follow this link to create a profile. Once you have created your profile and Lina has verified your account (this is done within a few hours), you will be able to access online booking, intake and consent forms, and secure client messaging. The Owl Practice Video Therapy platform is Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA) compliant as well as fulfils the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) requirements.
