Level Up for Teenage Guys

Level Up for Teenage Guys is a six-week Carleton Place youth fitness program established by Heritage Community Fitness. This program is for guys ages 12 to 15.

Fitness can be both exciting and intimidating, especially when you’re just starting. This program is designed for young teens who want to build confidence, learn the basics of working out, and challenge themselves in a supportive environment. You don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from fitness. Learning to overcome challenges, develop new skills, and see your progress can help build confidence both inside and outside the gym. Throughout the program, participants will learn the fundamentals of strength training, cardio, and circuit-based exercise, with a focus on proper technique, safe movement, and building healthy training habits.

Participants will gain:

  • confidence in the gym
  • proper lifting and exercise technique
  • better body awareness and coordination
  • strength, fitness, and athletic foundations
  • discipline and confidence to take on challenges
  • the knowledge to keep training safely on their own

Led by Grant Larson, a former professional baseball player with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, Level Up aims to help participants become more confident, capable, and comfortable with fitness while developing habits and skills they can carry with them for years to come.

Level Up runs Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for six weeks starting October 13. The cost of the program is $150. Register by phone, at our front desk, through our app, or online.
