Falls Prevention

Led by kinesiologist Nicole Andersen-Fair, our six-week Falls Prevention program empowers older adults with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent falls and improve balance, strength, and overall mobility. Falls are a leading cause of injury in the older population, but with education and the right exercises, falls can be significantly reduced.

What to Expect

Education: Understand the common causes of falls, how to identify and minimize hazards in the home, and the importance of regular physical activity in maintaining independence and preventing falls. Each week we discuss a new topic.

Exercise: Participate in guided exercises that focus on improving balance, strength, flexibility, and coordination. These exercises are tailored to the needs and abilities of older adults and can be adapted for different fitness levels.

This program is ideal for seniors who are concerned about falling, have a history of falls, or simply want to improve their physical fitness and confidence in moving around. Join us to stay active, stay safe, and keep moving with confidence!

The class size is limited to allow for personalized guidance.

Falls Prevention runs Thursdays from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, January 23 through February 27. The cost of the program is $200. Members receive a 10% discount.

Register in person at Heritage Fitness, by phone, with our mobile app (available for iOS and Android), and online.
