Personal Training is more than exercise; together with your Trainer you will focus on all aspects of your lifestyle to make sure that you are getting the most out of the time you have. Along with your gym membership, personal training is one of the most valuable investments you can make in your long term health and vitality.
Sessions are generally 60 minutes in length. During a series of sessions your trainer will develop a personalized fitness program that will emphasize proper form, technique and nutritional requirements.

Prices range from approximately $50 to $65 per hourly session. Rates vary based on trainer qualifications, specialty services required and the number of session purchased.

Heart Wise Exercise Trainer
Jen began her fitness career in 1983 as a Group Fitness Instructor. She became certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Personal Trainer, and has since added qualifications in rehabilitation and sports specific specialties. She established herself as a valuable resource in the industry when she opened the C.P. Fitness Club in 1986, and is still acknowledged and highly recommended by the medical community in the area. An avid golfer and runner, she designs and leads golf specific programs and running clinics for novice to intermediate runners. Jen currently teaches her own Tone Up classes at Heritage Fitness to encourage strength training for women, and a specially designed BootCamp for a more intense workout! Jenny's passion for fitness, dedication to clients, and relentless enthusiasm are the driving forces behind her success. A graduate of Lakehead University with a Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology (Gerontology) and a Master of Science in Kinesiology (Sport Psychology), Jenny has established herself as a successful college level teacher, varsity coach, and fitness leader over the past 10 years.
Jenny is a Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP). CSEP is the only Canadian agency that requires academic prerequisites for certification, is directly affiliated with current research and is demanding of the highest standards of practice. Along with being a Heart Wise Exercise Trainer through the Ottawa Heart Institute, she holds certifications in Spinning, Fitness Kickboxing, Nutrition Consulting and is a member of the Ontario Kinesiology Association.

Chris has a very diversified background in fitness and health. He is currently the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for
the Ottawa Senators NHL team, and President of Fitquest – sports performance training . He has over 14 years experience working clinically as an Exercise Therapist and 17 years in coaching and rehabilitating numerous professional and amateur athletes, includingNHL, OHL, NCAA, CFL, CIS and National Team athletes. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Dalhousie, and a certification through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology as a Professional Fitness Lifestyle Consultant. In his personal career as an athlete, Chris competed internationally as a Former Division 1 Professional Volleyball player.
Chris has developed two specialty programs that will be available at Heritage Fitness.
